Our bodies are energetic in nature. Our bones resonate at lower frequencies while our blood, thoughts and intellect vibrate at higher frequencies. This magnetic pulse is known as a bio magnetic field. In Eastern traditions this pulse is also known as Ki or Prana and many practices have been developed to help develop and balance this energy. Reiki, Qigong, Tai Chi, Meditation, Yoga, and Feng Shui are just a few of the many ways individuals can enhance the flow of this energy.

Reiki is a holistic system for balancing, that balances the energy of a person to prompt self healing and a harmonising of the mind, body and soul. Reiki assists the body and mind to be restored to its natural state of balance. This form of healing allows a person to release emotional ties to others that they could not otherwise let go of. It allows the mind to relax and any extreme emotional thoughts and feelings to become more balanced and neutralised.

When a reiki practitioner is performing a healing session, the energy that emanates from their hands produce a significant bio magnetic reading (7-10Hz – Theta and Alpha range), that is associated with physical healing.

Contentment, deep relaxation, feelings of peace following decreased feelings of stress, fear and anxiety are common observations from clients after a session.

The therapeutic approaches used include a combination (as needed) of cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), schema, narrative and mindfulness based therapy. Niveen is also skilled in the application of the Psychoneuroimmunology Therapy approach which is an excellent treatment modality for managing chronic conditions such as mood disorders, pain, sleep disorders, inflammatory disorders and trauma. It centers on relaxation based therapies such as diaphragmatic breathing and specific guided imagery work to decrease and help manage chronic conditions over time.
