Cleansing Spring Tea
A gentle blend for the seasonal transition
As we move into spring, the days begin to brighten and the body naturally starts to shift with the season. But in Australia, the transition isn’t always straightforward — cool mornings, warmer afternoons and changing weather can leave us feeling a little out of balance.
This simple herbal tea is a gentle way to support your body through the change of season, with warming ginger, fresh lemon and aromatic spices.
Ingredients
2–3 slices fresh ginger
½ tsp fennel seeds
½ tsp coriander seeds
1–2 cardamom pods, lightly crushed
½ lemon
2 cups water
Optional: a little raw honey, added once the tea has cooled slightly
Method
Add the ginger, fennel, coriander and cardamom to 2 cups of water.
Bring to a gentle simmer and allow to infuse for 5–10 minutes.
Strain into a cup and add a squeeze of fresh lemon.
Add a little honey if desired.
